Lead Electrical Engineer - RF Body Coils

Job Summary

Design and develop RF electrical components and interconnects for MRI body coils, spanning high-power and low-power applications. Perform design and analysis of RF transmit/receive components and printed circuit board elements using simulation tools to create efficient, reliable, and manufacturable solutions. Engage in all phases of new product development, including concept development, architecture, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing introduction, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance and reliability. Participate in prototype build activities to validate design intent and troubleshoot complex technical challenges at bench and system levels to identify root causes. Support field issues through root-cause investigation to drive timely problem resolution and improve the installed base experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical degree)
  • Minimum 2 years of engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical design and/or circuit board (PCB) design
  • Experience using electrical circuit and/or EM (electromagnetic) simulation tools
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Electrical CAD software (e.g., Cadence) and computational/simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, XFdtd)
  • Working understanding of MRI fundamentals, RF coil design, and electromagnetics
  • Experience with MRI system operation
  • Experience with numerical analysis tools and optimization methods
  • Hands-on hardware experience with mechanical systems and components
  • Comfort collaborating with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills (this can be through technical leadership, mentoring, project ownership, or informal team leadership)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
