Job Summary
Lead Electrical Engineer (PE) responsible for reviewing customer specifications, RFQs, and technical documents to ensure compliance with high-voltage circuit breakers, and for developing configurations and solutions. Will mark up schematics and control drawings, support sales and bidding discussions, collaborate across sales, engineering, and production to resolve technical issues, and contribute to product development, testing, and certification with third-party labs (e.g., CESI/KEMA) while driving continuous improvement in compliance processes and documentation for high-voltage power distribution equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (PE license)
- 5+ years of experience in power systems or switchgear industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical transmission, distribution, and substation equipment
- Experience reviewing technical specifications and identifying compliance issues
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Preferred: experience with vacuum circuit breakers (38kV–145kV), testing/validation, and AutoCAD Electrical
