Job Summary
Lead Electrical Engineer in our New York office to guide project teams through design and execution of complex electrical systems. Oversee the preparation of deliverables including narratives, calculations, drawings and specifications, apply electrical distribution, lighting and power systems design, and communicate design options to diverse stakeholders. Provide engineering direction and guidance for the project team; independently apply engineering judgment from concepts through construction; oversee load calculations; ensure projects meet NEC and industry standards within budget and schedule. Coordination with other disciplines, updates to master specifications, and input into standards. Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection, provide opinions of probable construction costs, conduct site visits and issues reports, and apply distribution load flow, short circuit and arc flash analysis using Easy Power. Implement the project quality management plan and perform other duties as assigned. Strong written and verbal communication, knowledge of NEC and building/energy codes, familiarity with Revit/AutoCAD, Easy Power, and Microsoft Office; hybrid work schedule in New York.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 2-4 years of Electrical Engineer or 3-5 years’ related work experience
