Job Summary
Lead the electrical design of embedded control systems and wireless products, guiding the development from requirements to design iteration. Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, systems, and quality teams. Responsibilities include compliance planning, design optimization, and managing PCBA builds. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering with relevant work experience in circuit design. Preferred qualifications emphasize technical leadership in embedded hardware design and experience with embedded wireless products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field and 6 years of related experience in electrical engineering circuit design; or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field and 4 year(s) of experience in electrical engineering circuit design
- Experience with schematic capture and electrical CAD tools
Desired Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience designing embedded hardware (schematics, PCB layout, bring-up, debug)
- Demonstrated technical leadership
- Experience designing with microprocessors/microcontrollers and/or System-on-Module (SoM) platforms
- Experience with embedded wireless/IoT product design
- Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout
- Experience with common communication interfaces/protocols
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience designing for and supporting regulatory compliance activities
- Ability to implement or modify embedded firmware in C
- Moderate-complexity wire harness design
- Track record of mentoring and providing technical guidance
