Job Summary
Lead Electrical Engineer overseeing end-to-end embedded hardware/software integration in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. You will architect and deliver hardware with real-time intelligent capabilities, balancing New Product Development (NPD) prototyping and validation with sustaining engineering to troubleshoot field issues, manage component obsolescence, and drive cost-reduction initiatives. Collaborate across hardware and software teams to integrate DSP solutions into larger architectures, participate in cross-functional Agile sprints to ship production-ready features, and contribute to a production launch mindset. The role calls for strong expertise in MCU/DSP/FPGA-based design, analog/digital circuitry, power management, EMI/EMC compliance, and PCB layout using tools like Cadence OrCAD. A product-owner mindset, versatile problem-solving, and comfort working in a startup-like environment are essential. The compensation range is $120,000–$145,000 annually, with additional benefits including a 10% target profit-sharing bonus and 401K match up to 8%. Relocation assistance is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5–10 years of experience in electrical/embedded systems
- Expert-level proficiency in EDA tools like Cadence OrCAD
- Deep understanding of analog/digital circuit design, power management, and EMI/EMC compliance
- Design and implementation of systems centered around MCUs, DSPs, or FPGAs
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to act as product owner for subsystems
- Agile proficiency and familiarity with Jira or equivalent tools
