Job Summary
Lead electrical design and implementation for infrastructure and aviation projects, ensuring technical compliance and design integrity. Prepare engineering documentation, conduct design reviews, and coordinate multidisciplinary activities to achieve seamless system integration. Provide technical leadership through mentoring junior engineers, supporting regulatory submissions, and performing field inspections to verify approved designs. Contribute to engineering standards development and support project delivery via schedule management and issue resolution. Requires P.Eng. designation, 10+ years of experience, and knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code. Based in Toronto, Ontario, with a competitive salary and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with a Canadian engineering regulator (e.g., Professional Engineers Ontario)
- Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing and managing one or more of the following: Aviation electrical systems, Infrastructure electrical systems, Building electrical systems including industrial, commercial, residential, or data centre projects
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and applicable local and international engineering standards
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering design activities and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong technical communication, stakeholder engagement, and interpersonal skills
- Experience participating in client-facing project delivery environments
- Project management and team leadership experience
- Experience using AutoCAD and other electrical design software
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and energy-efficient electrical design practices
- Familiarity with airport security systems and associated electrical infrastructure
- Experience with control systems and related technologies
- Experience supporting large-scale transportation infrastructure programs
- Exposure to engineering quality management systems and design governance processes
