Job Summary
Lead electrical design activities for mission-critical facilities, including hyperscale data centers, by independently performing intermediate to advanced engineering work on electrical distribution systems, infrastructure layouts, and equipment sizing. Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to prepare drawings, review shop drawings and submittals, and respond to RFIs while managing sequences of operations and construction documentation. Lead design teams and projects of complex scope, coordinate activities with project management and clients, and direct interns or other technical staff as needed. This role involves up to 10% travel across the United States and requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a PE license and at least eight years of experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ABET accredited institution
- PE in related discipline
- Minimum of eight years of electrical engineering experience
- Knowledge of electrical systems found in buildings including single/three phase power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding and life safety systems
- Knowledge of codes and specifications for the design of electrical systems including National Electric Code, Life Safety and Energy Conservation Codes
- Knowledge of technical / design software including short circuit coordination and arc flash studies, equipment sizing, underground feeder calculations and lighting calculations
- Knowledge of various electrical topologies and distribution systems
- Skilled at producing drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD and Revit
- Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management
- Skilled in performing code analysis including selection of equipment, wiring, etc. to meet code requirements
- Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation
- Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace
- Ability to follow company and site safety requirements
- Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)
- Ability to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contact
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision
- Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
- Ability to effectively plan and delegate the work of others
- Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Up to 10% travel to any or all 50 US states
