Job Summary
Lead Electrical Engineer responsible for directing the electrical discipline at the project level and managing the discipline budget across simple to complex projects. Oversees electrical design and engineering workflows from studies through construction administration, coordinating with internal/external architects and engineers, clients, construction managers, subcontractors, vendors, and manufacturers. Leads a team of designers from entry to senior levels; develops narratives, reports, construction drawing packages, and construction specifications for large projects; performs and mentors others in engineering calculations, code evaluations, and building-energy analyses. Utilizes BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) and supports field activities, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and progress reports. Requires effective project management, budgeting, scheduling, and cross-discipline coordination; advanced knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments; strong familiarity with electrical codes and standards (NFPA, IESNA, UL, OSHA, IEEE); strong capability to travel for client development and project execution.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 10+ years of experience
- Professional Engineer registration in good standing
