Job Summary
Lead Electrical Commissioning SME responsible for leading the electrical commissioning process on data center projects; acts as a technical resource and SME for commissioning teams; ensures adherence to commissioning standards, develops SOPs and MOPs, prepares comprehensive testing and commissioning documentation, and generates recommendations to optimize building operations. Will oversee testing procedures, logs, deficiency lists, and equipment operation documentation; interfaces with clients, contractors, vendors, and owners’ representatives; field troubleshooting support and experience with Power Quality Analyzers, Power Disturbance Analyzers, and data loggers; requires strong written/verbal communication and experience with IEEE procedures; open to 50% travel and located near major airport hubs. Educational background of Bachelor's/Associates in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a plus; 5-10+ years in electrical commissioning and data-center/mission-critical environments highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 10 + years experience in the Electrical Commissioning Field
- Bachelor's / Associates Degree as an Electrical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer a plus
- A/E experience working in complex facilities or mission critical projects
- Previous Data Center / Mission Critical experience a must
- Experience commissioning enterprise data centers, colos, and hyperscale companies
- Electrical Commissioning experience: electrical power and distribution systems, UPS, standby generators, PDUs, Switchgear, power equipment
