Job Summary
Lead Teacher at Student Choice High School in Maryvale serves alongside leadership to champion the educational well-being of underprivileged youth. The role oversees the Team’s PLC, acts as Teacher of Record for assigned courses, ensures adherence to Academic Assurances and state/district standards, plans individualized study programs, employs diverse instructional strategies, monitors student progress via LMS dashboards, conducts Academic Outreach, and supports Learning Coach. The position emphasizes wrap-around services, alternative pathways to a diploma, collaboration with district specialists, and ongoing professional development within a collaborative District/Campus team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Arizona Teacher Certificate (Secondary-Grades 6-12 Certificate, STEM Certificate, Subject Matter Expert Certificate, CTE Certificate, or Alternative Teaching Certificate)
- Passing score on approved Subject Knowledge Exam (Math or ELA or area approved by Administrator for Academic Programs)
- Valid Az IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
