Job Summary
Lead Echocardiographer performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures in the Department of Cardiology/Echocardiography; participates in teaching Cardiology Fellows and Echocardiographer students; maintains workflow and performs clerical duties as needed; demonstrates knowledge of growth and development of patients; assesses data reflecting patient status and interprets information to identify patient requirements; must have working knowledge of equipment, scanning techniques, patient care, and emergency situations; able to use or learn to use the department’s computerized system and devices.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved cardiac Ultrasound technology program
- credentialing from an ICAEL and ASE recognized Program (such as ARDMS or CCI)
- Registry eligible candidates have 90 days from date of hire to pass licensure exam
- Licensed by an organization recognized by ICAEL and ASE
