Job Summary
Lead Dispatcher leads daily dispatch operations and routes, analyzes and optimizes routes, schedules and resource deployment, serves as working lead guiding dispatch staff, and uses routing software to design safe, efficient student transportation routes; checks drivers in/out for routes, takes calls/messages, assists drivers with routes, prints maps and directions, and addresses bus-stop issues under the Director of Transportation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- considerable experience working in transportation logistics
- working in pupil transport
- associates/technical degree preferred
- valid driver's license
- must be able to obtain school bus license
