Job Summary
Lead Director, Benefits & Payroll COE Accounting provides enterprise leadership for payroll and benefits accounting, driving governance, standardization, and accurate financial reporting across complex processes. Partners with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Controllers, FP&A, Audit, and IT to support timely close, audit readiness, and system/process changes; leads accounting teams to implement standardized, scalable practices within a Center of Excellence model. Strong emphasis on governance, transformation, and collaboration with senior leadership; requires extensive experience in accounting/financial reporting, GAAP/SOX, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience including leadership
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements
- Experience supporting large-scale payroll and/or benefits accounting in complex organizations
- Strong cross-functional partnership skills and experience with senior leadership
- ERP experience (SAP/S4 and/or Oracle)
