Job Summary
Lead Direct Support Professional will provide leadership, direction, and support on shift, coordinating with the supervisor on scheduling, training, compliance, and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include personal care and Activities of Daily Living assistance, medication administration/health monitoring, cooking and dietary support, transportation and participation in community activities, and promoting Independence while fostering positive relationships. Requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, pass background checks, obtain CPR/First Aid certification, and use basic computer skills. Education requirements include a Bachelor's degree with 2 years (or an Associate's with 3 years, or HS diploma with 4 years) in an applicable setting, with valid Michigan driver’s license. The role involves leadership duties and may include special projects and on-call responsibilities, with a focus on supporting and coordinating with supervision to ensure quality care across shift teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years experience in applicable setting
- Associates degree with 3 years experience in applicable setting
- HS Diploma/GED with 4 years experience in applicable setting
- Valid State of Michigan driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to pass background checks as applicable
- Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid
- Possess basic computer skills
