Job Summary
Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) leads direct support services for adults with disabilities in home, community, and day program settings, while supervising and supporting DSP staff with scheduling, training, and documentation. Responsibilities include assisting with independent living skills, community engagement, communication, and daily activities; completing assessments, ISPs, progress notes, incident reports, and other required documentation; collaborating with guardians, case managers, providers, and interdisciplinary teams; ensuring services align with consumer goals and organizational standards; and providing DSP coverage as needed. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and typically involves strong communication and organizational skills, basic computer/tablet proficiency, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two years of experience working with adults with disabilities preferred
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance required
