Job Summary
Direct a group of technicians to ensure all repairs and maintenance of chassis, refuse bodies, and hydraulic systems comply with federal and state safety regulations. Diagnose complex malfunctions using electronic tools, perform line maintenance welding and fabrication, and inspect third-party vendor repairs. Provide coaching on diagnostic techniques to subordinates and schedule repair work to minimize lost productivity. Maintain expert proficiency in engine, suspension, drivetrain, and air conditioning systems while handling supervisor responsibilities as needed. Mentor technicians and complete applicable company training programs to uphold safety standards across the shop.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks
- Valid Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in a role requiring compliance with OSHA Haz Com, OSHA Lock Out Tag Out, and all OSHA fire protection regulations
- At least 1 year of supervisory or lead technician experience
- ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8)
- Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License
