Job Summary
Lead Diesel Diagnostic Foreman to serve as the shop's senior diagnostic resource for diesel truck repairs, directing workflow, coaching technicians, and ensuring high repair quality. Responsible for determining repair paths, assigning work based on skill and priority, removing production bottlenecks, and validating root-cause analysis using OEM information, diagnostic software, scan data, service history, and AI-assisted tools. Lead daily production discussions with technicians, advisors, and parts personnel; monitor open repair orders, approvals, parts status, and progress; walk the floor to identify roadblocks and keep production moving. Enforce no-comeback repairs and push for clear root-cause documentation to strengthen warranty support and customer communication. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and evaluating technicians, and recommend staffing changes as needed. Requires valid CDL or willingness to obtain one, 5+ years in medium/heavy-duty truck repair, strong diesel diagnostics, leadership ability, excellent organization and communication, and fluency in Spanish. Optional: dealership/fleet leadership experience; familiarity with OEM warranty processes; experience with CAT, Cummins, Allison, International, or Mitsubishi Fuso platforms; proficiency with CDK or similar systems. Compensation includes competitive pay, profit sharing, quarterly incentives, paid training, referral bonuses, and CDL reimbursement where applicable. Location: Los Angeles, CA; on-site role. Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL, or willingness to obtain one while employed
- 5+ years of medium-duty or heavy-duty truck repair experience
- Strong diesel diagnostic ability, technical judgment, and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lead technicians without losing credibility on the shop floor
- Ability to speak Spanish fluently
- Ability to road test vehicles as needed to diagnose concerns and verify repairs
