Job Summary
Design and implement enterprise-grade Ansible automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and zero-touch automation strategies. Administer the enterprise Ansible Automation Platform, integrate automation into CI/CD and GitOps workflows, and establish reusable playbooks and collections. Act as a trusted advisor to internal customers by conducting architecture workshops, coaching teams on secure automation patterns, and resolving complex infrastructure support requests. Define automation standards, implement software supply chain security capabilities including SBOM, and drive developer adoption through self-service enablement and observability dashboards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10 years of progressive DevOps Platform Engineering
- 2 years as a lead
- 5+ years of expertise in Ansible automation
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform / AWX / Automation Controller
- Experience integrating Ansible with CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows
- Experience administering and operating enterprise Ansible platforms
- Proven experience establishing automation standards, performing code reviews, and coaching engineering teams
- Mastery of RHEL and OpenShift or Kubernetes platforms
- Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code and configuration management principles
- Strong proficiency in Git and branching strategies
- Experience with secrets management and secure automation patterns
- Demonstrated experience acting as a technical lead, trusted advisor, or end-to-end solution architect
- Strong stakeholder management, customer engagement, communication, and influencing skills
- Strong scripting/programming skills in Python and/or Groovy
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Helm, ArgoCD, or other GitOps tools
- Knowledge of observability tools (ELK, metrics, logging pipelines)
- Substantial experience in enterprise software or infrastructure engineering environments
