Job Summary
Lead production deployment engineering and automation initiatives within NinjaOne's global Platform Engineering organization. Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases into production environments while sharing ownership with the US team to ensure operational continuity. Design automated deployment solutions, build reusable frameworks, and modernize CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI to eliminate manual processes and improve delivery speed. Provide technical leadership through mentorship, establish deployment standards and rollback procedures, and drive continuous improvements to reduce operational risk. Serve as the escalation point for complex releases and collaborate with SRE, QA, and Product teams to maintain high availability. This hands-on role supports expanded operational coverage for the Singapore engineering team, focusing on strategic platform modernization and engineering efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Build & Release Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or related disciplines
- Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers
- Strong experience supporting and automating production software deployments in cloud environments
- Deep expertise building enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Experience managing artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory
- Experience designing deployment automation, release orchestration, and software delivery workflows
- Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, pull request processes, and release management
- Strong scripting or programming experience using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures
- Experience integrating DevSecOps capabilities including SAST, SCA, DAST, SBOM generation, secrets management, and policy enforcement
- Experience improving engineering productivity and DORA metrics
