Job Summary
Lead DevOps Engineer to build and scale the backbone of Kayzen's global RTB platform. You will move beyond manual server management to engineer automated, self-healing infrastructure that handles petabytes of data with sub-millisecond latency, treating private data centers like a programmable cloud. Responsibilities include provisioning pipelines for bare-metal deployment (PXE, ZTP), ongoing operations and security monitoring, OS patching, data center environmental monitoring, performance tuning, and resource optimization. You will act as technical lead for the infrastructure team, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, automation, monitoring, and incident response.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of DevOps, system administration and debugging experience
- 2+ years of team lead / people management experience
- Bachelor degree in engineering or computer science
- Unix/Linux administration and hands-on experience
- Shell scripting and Python/Java programming
- SQL commands
- Terraform or Ansible or Puppet/Chef for bare-metal configurations and automation
- Strong understanding of L4/L7 load balancing (HAProxy/Nginx) and TCP/IP performance tuning
- Experience with pipeline/orchestration tools like Jenkins/Airflow
- Observability platforms: Prometheus, Grafana, InfluxDB
- Kubernetes knowledge (will be an added advantage)
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux
- Ability to work in fully remote setup
- Security monitoring and incident response
- Data center management and automation
- Continuous integration/continuous deployment practices
- Mentoring and onboarding engineering staff
- Direct reporting to CTO and cross-team collaboration
