Lead Developer - React

Job Summary
Build reusable UI components in React while optimizing website performance and conducting cross-browser testing to resolve technical issues. Partner with stakeholders to review work against global standards and identify process improvements for successful content launches. Collaborate with the global technology team to represent the user experience perspective across web projects. Complete initial system understanding through self-learning, code reviews, and test automation within the first month, then participate in new product design and implementation. This role supports TransUnion's mission to make trust possible by managing hundreds of terabytes of data for a nationwide customer base within a self-organizing Scrum team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience building reusable UI components in React
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience with optimizing website performance
- Confidence at learning, testing and adopting new tools
- Ability to test code changes through cross-browser testing to identify and resolve technical issues
- Minimum 10+ years hands-on experience with enterprise web development
- Experience with the information architecture, page design, and usability testing within a web environment
- Partnering with team stakeholders in reviewing work against established standards
- Effectively communicating modifications needed for successful launch of content, aligned with global website goals and regional needs
- Aligning with web development team as a whole to identify needed process or template improvement
- Raising problems on a global scale
- Collaborating as needed with global technology team to represent user experience perspective in web projects
- This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week
