Lead Design and Certification Engineer - EASA Part 21J Cabin Interiors (m/f/d)

Job Summary
Develop engineering design solutions for cabin interior modifications, including new seating, IFEC systems, galley installations, and aircraft livery changes. Produce substantiation documents demonstrating compliance with regulatory requirements such as flammability reports, design reports, and system safety analyses. Compile engineering accomplishment documentation and instructions for continued airworthiness, including service bulletins and manual supplements. Collaborate directly with airline and leasing customers while utilizing 3-D and 2-D CAD tools under the guidance of the EASA Design Organisation Handbook. This role supports the BGS Commercial Modifications Europe team in driving safety and technical excellence across Boeing aircraft models.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- current legal authorisation to work immediately in Germany
- satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrate competency using CATIA V5, 3DExperience and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of both Type Design and Continuing Airworthiness for part 25 aircraft
- Knowledge of the certification of part 25 aircraft and their aircraft interior reconfiguration programmes and primary and secondary aircraft structures
- A working knowledge of EASA regulatory and applicable airworthiness requirements in particular CS-25, 14CFR Part 25 & Part 21J design organisations
- Experience of EASA design organisation projects
