Job Summary
Lead DeltaV automation projects by developing system architecture for DeltaV-MES integration and defining data exchange models aligned with ISA-95 standards. Provide technical oversight to a small engineering team through design reviews, troubleshooting sessions, and task allocation while ensuring all configurations adhere to GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11, and site validation protocols. Coordinate interface design with Syncade MES teams and manage commissioning, qualification activities, and batch recipe approvals. Produce functional and configuration specifications, data mapping documents, and test plans to maintain regulatory and cybersecurity compliance. Lead customer walkthroughs and communicate technical risks to project leadership within a collaborative pharmaceutical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related field
- 8+ years of experience with Emerson DeltaV systems (configuration, graphics, batch, I/O, networking)
- Proven expertise integrating DCS with MES or Level 3 systems
- Experience with Syncade
- Strong knowledge of ISA‐88/ISA‐95 standards
- Experience in GxP / regulated manufacturing environments (pharma/biotech preferred)
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, system design, validation, and documentation practices
- Ability to interact and communicate with other engineering and business disciplines
- Comfortable leading a small team with a hands‐on leadership style
