Job Summary
Conduct database administrative support for DTCC environments across Development, QA, client test, and critical high availability production and DR Data Centers. Manage Oracle 19c, 21c, and 22c systems alongside Aurora PostgreSQL and MSSQL-Server by installing patches, configuring databases, and maintaining performance through parameter tuning and hardware evaluation. Deliver third-level support for production issues, participate in root cause analysis, and design coding utilities to automate tasks using Python and Ansible. Align risk and control processes into daily operations to monitor and mitigate risk while enforcing organizational standards. Share responsibility for off-hour support and provide user training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience
- Strong Oracle knowledge of 19c, 21c and 22c
- Strong knowledge in MSSQL Server and Aurora Postgres database
- Strong knowledge in Python and Angular
- Working knowledge of Oracles GoldenGate Replication technology
- Working knowledge of O/S and Disk Management, working knowledge with SQL
- Hands on experience with Oracle RAC and OEM Grid Control/Cloud Control
- Hands on experience in python, Ansible and other scripting languages to automate the tasks
- Ability to work with a high degree of latitude while adhering to established process and procedures
- Strong understanding in both how databases fit into systems and how application changes will influence database performance
