Job Summary
Lead Data Software Engineer on the Open Banking data platform at JPMorgan Chase responsible for architecting and guiding end-to-end, cloud-native data solutions. You will oversee complex data pipeline and architecture design, evolve data models to support new business use cases, and build scalable data processing in AWS (e.g., S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Kinesis) with Spark/Java/Python. The role includes hands-on development of data pipelines, data transformation tooling, and ensuring data quality across ingestion, storage, and analytics. You will drive architectural direction, contribute to the Service Delivery Lifecycle, perform feasibility and capacity planning, coach team members on validation and testing of data, implement monitoring and self-healing practices, and collaborate across business functions to deliver secure, resilient data platforms. Preferred experience includes modern front-end exposure, REST API design with Java, and DevOps practices (Linux scripting, Jenkins, CI/CD, JIRA, TDD). This position is based in New York, NY, US and requires on-site work.
