Job Summary
Lead Data Science Consultant responsible for guiding data-driven initiatives across complex business problems. Exercises advanced analytical thinking, builds and interprets statistical models, and designs experiments to uncover actionable insights and strategies. Interfaces with peers, mid- to senior-level managers, and cross-functional teams to drive recommendations and strategic decisions based on data-driven analyses, trends, and patterns. May lead projects or mentor teammates, and communicates results to non-technical stakeholders through executive-ready presentations. Requires strong problem-solving, programming skills (Python, PySpark, SQL), experience with large datasets, and familiarity with cloud platforms and BI tools.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of data science experience or equivalent
- Master's degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science
- Desirable: 2-3 years in large banks/financial services; quantitative emphasis in degree
- Experience with Python, PySpark, SQL; large datasets
- Strong communication and ability to present to non-technical audiences
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices
