Job Summary
Lead Data Governance efforts at Betclic to build a foundation for discovery, trust and usability of data. You will lead the adoption of OpenMetadata, define Data Product standards and help transform metadata into a strategic asset. You will build and maintain the data knowledge layer (metadata, glossary, ownership, lineage), improve discoverability of assets, define standards for Data Products and Data Contracts, clarify ownership and accountability, and promote best practices for documentation, quality and reusability. You will enable AI agents to navigate Betclic's data ecosystem, work with modern data platforms (Snowflake, dbt, AWS), structure metadata for natural language interactions, and embed governance into the Data Platform. The role emphasizes governance by design, self-service data consumption, and collaboration with Data Science, Platform and Engineering teams. It requires hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools, a proactive mindset, and strong leadership to influence without direct authority.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Architecture or Data Platform
- Experience with Data Catalog solutions such as OpenMetadata, DataHub, Atlan or Collibra
- Good understanding of Data Products and Data Contracts
- Experience working with modern data platforms (Snowflake, dbt, AWS)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Curiosity and interest for AI and emerging technologies
- Leadership & Soft Skills: Strong mentoring and coaching abilities, Excellent communication and collaboration skills, Ability to influence without direct authority, Proactive, pragmatic, and impact-driven mindset
