Job Summary
Lead Data Engineer responsible for designing and delivering reliable data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions at scale. You will develop workflows and ELT pipelines using Python and Databricks, review controls to protect enterprise data, implement data security using entitlements frameworks, and update logical/physical data models based on new use cases. Strong emphasis on SQL (and NoSQL), AWS cloud services, and end-to-end data lifecycle stewardship, with collaboration to drive innovation and continuous improvement across the firm.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 3 years of applied experience
- Strong working knowledge of AWS, Databricks, Python
- Advanced SQL skills including joins and aggregations
- Experience with NoSQL databases
- Experience across the data lifecycle
- Statistical data analysis skills and ability to select appropriate tools and data patterns
- Experience with AWS Cloud Services for developing, deploying, and managing applications at scale
- Experience with software development lifecycle tools (configuration management, CI/CD, unit testing, regression testing, performance testing)
- Familiarity with data modeling, ELT/ETL pipelines, and data security implementations
