Job Summary
The Lead Mechanical Operations Engineer will support and lead a local data center site team on advanced mechanical engineering duties, overseeing critical infrastructure and building mechanical systems including CRAH’s, CRAC’s, chillers, and water purification systems. Responsibilities include issuing identification and resolution through root cause analysis, coordinating maintenance activities, conducting system analysis, and supervising on-site subcontractors. Qualified candidates will possess detailed knowledge of critical infrastructure, strong communication skills, and extensive experience in mechanical infrastructure management.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing data center mechanical infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience managing a team of service technicians focused in mechanical infrastructure
- Ability to read and assess single line diagrams, technical manuals and engineering plans
- Extensive experience carrying out MOP/EOP/SOP
- Strong communications, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to organizational excellence and process improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in pre-deployment phases of a data center, i.e. pre-construction or construction environments
- Direct experience in leading mechanical engineering efforts at a hyperscale data center facility
