Job Summary
Lead Data Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Specialty Platform and Services; responsible for developing high-quality data architecture solutions across software applications and platform products. Represents the data architecture team at technical governance bodies, evaluates new and current technologies, provides technical guidance to business and technical teams, develops production-ready code, drives architecture decisions affecting product design and operations, serves as a function-wide SME in data architecture, and contributes to engineering practices and frameworks within the SDLC. The role requires strong cloud-native experience and ability to independently address design challenges, mentoring junior architects and collaborating with contractors and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture, including system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming languages, applications, and architecture
- Advanced knowledge of architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Practical cloud native experience
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
