Job Summary
Lead Damage Control Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Navy Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT) for Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (CNSP). Responsibilities include coordinating, scheduling, and conducting ship training visits to improve Sailor proficiency in operation and maintenance of ship systems; compiling and delivering training resources and curricula; teaching and reinforcing shipboard operating principles; conducting comprehensive material condition assessments of equipment, safety gear, and ship systems; reviewing maintenance and operating procedures; and advising ship leadership on crew proficiency and program efficacy. The role involves travel up to 35% (including overseas locations) and requires strong leadership, instructional ability, and proven experience in navy damage control practices. A SECRET security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
Required Qualifications
- Existing SECRET security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- At least fifteen (15) years of supervisory experience in analyses, information system operations, and implementation of technical projects related to U.S. Navy damage control processes
- Extensive Navy technical management experience on multiple ships
- Direct operational and damage control experience within the last five (5) years
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environments
- Excellent personnel management and communication skills
- Experience as shipboard Damage Control supervisor on multiple ships
- Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance
