Job Summary
Lead Cybersecurity Specialist to head a team of security analysts, advancing Legence's security posture through cloud-security architecture, risk management, security tooling integration (SIEM/EDR/CSPM), incident response, vulnerability management, and governance. Responsibilities encompass guiding security strategy with cross-functional partners, mentoring junior staff, and delivering measurable improvements in detection, response, and compliance across enterprise, cloud, and DevSecOps environments. Required: deep cloud/security expertise, leadership capabilities, strong scripting for automation, and experience with applicable frameworks; preferred: industry certifications and prior leadership of security initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 510+ years of cybersecurity experience with progression into senior/lead responsibilities
- Deep expertise in cloud security, network security, and enterprise security architecture
- Strong experience with security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and encryption
- Proven experience in risk management, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and security engineering
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or GIAC preferred
