Job Summary
Lead Commissioning Authorities establish overall commissioning strategy, develop Master Commissioning Plans, and guide multi-disciplinary teams to validate systems for safe, reliable operations. Direct coordination of energetics, process utility, and ICS/controls specialists while overseeing design reviews, procurement requirements, and production qualification readiness. Provide technical leadership for government acceptance activities, manage quality and configuration control, and witness functional and integrated systems testing. Prepare readiness reports for senior management and government stakeholders, mentor personnel, and drive disciplined issue resolution across complex manufacturing and high-hazard process facilities. Requires substantial on-site presence at federal installations and client sites during design, construction, and start-up phases, with relocation to Little Rock, Arkansas required after the first year.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of industrial commissioning experience
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary commissioning teams
- Experience interfacing with owners, EPC/GC contractors, and equipment vendors
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Strong knowledge of commissioning standards and practices
- Proven ability to develop commissioning plans, test procedures, and readiness assessment packages
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to brief senior and government audiences
- Ability and willingness to deploy to client manufacturing sites and federal installations
- Must be able to pass a general background check
- Must be able to speak fluent English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting or leading production qualification, First Article, or Lot Acceptance activities on defense manufacturing or comparable programs
- Ability to speak Korean
- A U.S. citizen
- Active commissioning professional certification from a recognized industry organization
- Prior experience on defense manufacturing, ammunition/energetics, propellant, missile, or propulsion programs
- PE registration
- Experience with quality management systems, configuration control, and material/batch traceability in manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with DoD explosives safety and facility criteria as they relate to commissioning and operational readiness
