Lead Custodian

Lead Custodian at Williams College oversees up to 12 custodial staff in day-to-day operations across campus buildings. Responsibilities include general cleaning, floor care, operating cleaning equipment, light maintenance, snow removal, bed making during summer conferences, managing time off and work orders, performing inspections, and maintaining safe, respectful relations with faculty, staff, and students. Reports to the Custodial Services Manager; schedule is Monday–Friday 5:30am–2:00pm with possible overtime and weekend/holiday shifts. Pay ranges from $24.50–$28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Requirements emphasize teamwork, customer service, independent work, basic computer skills for work orders, knowledge of safety data sheets and chemical usage, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds (75 with assistance), stand for long periods, and willingness to work varied shifts.
