Job Summary
Lead Custodian leads a custodial crew to clean and maintain district buildings, grounds, and equipment; coordinates work assignments, monitors quality, and reports to the Facilities Director on staff performance and facility conditions. Responsibilities include supervising and training custodial staff, scheduling coverage for absences and events, inspecting completed work for compliance, ensuring safety and proper handling of cleaning chemicals, and performing grounds-related duties as needed. Required/preferred skills include experience supervising a team, knowledge of custodial methods and safety practices, ability to prioritize and communicate effectively, and physical ability to perform cleaning and lift tasks; BS/HS-equivalent education preferred and bilingual ability is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Two years of custodial experience preferred
- Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Bilingual preferred
