Job Summary
Lead Custodian supervises subordinate custodians and oversees custodial, groundskeeping, and supply requisition at Gardner Park Elementary. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining buildings and grounds, operating heavy floor cleaning equipment, loading/unloading supplies, delivering items, maintaining equipment, and assisting with summer cleanup and event setup. The role requires ensuring site standards, preparing reports, coordinating with administration, and maintaining safety practices per OSHA guidelines. Must be able to perform very heavy physical work and operate lawn and cleaning equipment; possesses strong interpersonal and independent-work abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalency preferred
- Considerable experience in custodial work
- Supervisory experience preferred
