Job Summary
Lead CT Technologist with at least 2 years of clinical experience and 1 year CT experience, responsible for providing high-quality CT imaging services, performing advanced CT protocols (TAVR, Cardiac CTA, gated chest, runoffs, lung and heart screenings), ensuring patient safety and comfort, and mentoring CT staff. Will oversee department operations in the absence of the Chief Technologist, participate in staff hiring and competency validation, ensure regulatory compliance, manage workflow to optimize throughput, and collaborate with physicians. Requires ARRT radiography and CT certifications, BLS, and strong communication and teaching abilities; role emphasizes image quality, radiation protection, QA/QC, and ongoing education.”,
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R)
- ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to function independently and under pressure
- Ability to teach and mentor CT technologists
- Competency in CT protocols (TAVR, Cardiac CTA, gated chest, runoffs, lung/heart screenings)
- Ability to perform and post-process advanced CT protocols
- Strong understanding of anatomy and pathology relevant to imaging
- Ability to maintain patient safety and radiation protection policies
- Participation in departmental leadership and education activities
