Job Summary
Lead development teams to define requirements and architectures for NSA-certified cryptographic products, acting as primary responsible engineer for product certification to NSA requirements (IASRD/SERD 2.0). Oversees COMSEC design across systems including hardware, firmware, software, or electronic design; prepares technical data for internal and customer reviews; leads cross-disciplinary teams through the system engineering lifecycle; engages with customers/stakeholders to capture needs; identifies risks and drives mitigation; travels up to 10% for on-site engagement; coordinates with hardware, software, and mechanical engineers to deliver integrated system solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years of related experience or Graduate Degree with minimum 3 years of related experience; in lieu of a degree at least 10 years of related experience
- Experience in product certification to NSA standards such as IASRD and SERD 2.0
- Experience in one of the following engineering functions for encrypted communications products: Systems Engineering, Electronic Hardware Design, Firmware Design, Software Design
- Experience with cryptographic algorithms and protocols
- Active SECRET clearance
- Preferred: CTP II Certification; TEMPEST product qualification testing; experience evaluating requirements and writing technical proposals; understanding of satellite CONOPS; active TS/SCI clearance;
- Salary disclosed for California: $125,000 – $232,000; pay may vary by experience and location
