Job Summary
Lead Critical Facility Engineer oversees and mentors a critical facility engineering team in a data center environment, managing maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Responsibilities include prioritizing and assigning work orders, supervising contractors, ensuring BGIS safety policies, monitoring CMMS data, reviewing equipment performance, ordering parts, leading project development, requesting outsourced work proposals, and maintaining strong client and vendor relationships. Required skills include leadership, strong communication, experience with HVAC/electrical systems, familiarity with mission critical infrastructure (generators, UPS, HVAC, fire/life safety, BMS, CMMS), proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools, and the ability to travel regionally. The role emphasizes delivering timely client service, maintaining equipment, documenting procedures (MOPs/SOPs), and ensuring high system efficiency with minimal disruption.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years of experience in similar working environment with HVAC or Electrical knowledge
- Two years of experience in mission critical infrastructure, including generators, UPS systems, HVAC systems, fire/life safety systems, BMS systems, and CMMS systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate teams
