Lead Critical Facilities Technician

Job Summary

Supervise night and day shift teams of Critical Facilities Technicians by reviewing timecards, conducting one-on-ones, and assigning competency training. Oversee the creation and execution of Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans while troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues to ensure 100% uptime. Manage planned and unplanned work using a CMMS, oversee power and cooling conditions, and respond to critical emergencies for complete recovery. Lead the team with a commitment to safety, reliability, and continual operational improvement in a brand-new data center facility. This role follows a 2-2-3 rotating 12-hour shift schedule with day and night options available.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to move and transport equipment weighing up to 45 lbs
  • Must be able to operate tools
  • Must be able to work at varying heights
  • Must be able to ascend/descend ladders and stairs
  • Must be able to position self in small spaces
  • Must be able to move between buildings
  • Required to work nights and/or weekends, or be on-call as a regular part of the job
  • Communicates with co-workers, management, vendors, etc. approximately 3-5 hours/day

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior military or technical school training
  • 2-3 years of experience working in mission critical environments
  • Experience with building electrical, mechanical, BMS and fire systems
  • Electrical or mechanical license (HVAC)
