Job Summary
Collaborate with unit leadership to facilitate teamwork, coordinated patient care, and initiatives for non-licensed personnel on a 76-bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. Schedule and perform duties as a Certified Critical Care Tech, acting as an informal leader to coach and validate hourly rounding, handoff, and core values adherence. Assist with non-licensed personnel scheduling and advocate for organizational initiatives while attending over 50% of Tech Engagement Committee meetings. Maintain satisfactory performance evaluations and model professional communication with patients, visitors, and coworkers. Full-time day shift (7a-7:30p) with weekend/holiday rotation required.
Required Qualifications
- Has worked at Cooper University Hospital for at least one year
- Experience on the unit
- High School/GED
- Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training
- Active Patient Care Technician Certification
- AHA Basic Life Support certification
- Successful completion of one of these certifications: CPCT-A
- Must meet all requirements of a Certified Critical Care Tech
- Full time days
- 36 hours a week
- hours: 7a-7:30p
- weekend/holiday rotation
