Job Summary
Lead Counselor on the Men’s Campus who provides advanced counseling services to clients, facilitates therapeutic groups and psychoeducational classes, ensures compliant clinical documentation, participates in on-call crisis response, mentors unlicensed clinicians and staff, and supports campus activities while modeling Christ-centered care. The role requires a Master’s degree in a behavioral health field, Arizona associate-level licensure, and experience across prevention, crisis intervention, education, and treatment of substance use disorders. The position involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote recovery, integrity of clinical standards, and ongoing staff development, all within a faith-based, homeless-services setting in Phoenix, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or other behavioral health-related field
- Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners Associate-level licensure (LMSW, LAC, or LAMFT)
- Experience in prevention, crisis intervention, education, and treatment
- Demonstrated knowledge of counseling theories, evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and holistic recovery principles
- Knowledge of substance use disorders and recovery processes
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and case management skills
- Exceptional active listening, and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid Christian witness and lifestyle
- Proficiency with database software and Microsoft Office
