Job Summary
Assist individuals in Day Programs to integrate into communities, develop social skills, and access community-based resources for employment and volunteer opportunities. Plan recreational activities, empower self-advocacy, and schedule staff assignments for in-house and community engagement. Provide transportation, manage medication administration and audits, and oversee vehicle maintenance and gas cards. Ensure facility safety, maintain staff-to-individual ratios, and conduct follow-up training for new direct care staff. Communicate with guardians, case managers, and quality departments while documenting treatment plans and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- One to two years of experience/training in a related function
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Driving is a requirement for this position using either a Vinfen van or personal vehicle
- A valid driver's license
- Must possess and maintain adequate insurance (if using personal vehicle)
- Must maintain a safe driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have maintained a valid US driver's license for at least six months
- Must be able to pass a driver's screening background check
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or the use of a two-person lift
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer
- Ability to sit, reach, climb stairs, and maneuver through narrow spaces or hallways
- Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives

- CPR required within two weeks of hire
- First Aid required within two weeks of hire
- Medication certification required within 150 days of hire
