Job Summary
Lead Counsel – Markets Contract Negotiations leads the negotiation and execution of derivatives documentation, serving as lead negotiator and SME for ISDA Master Agreements, Schedules, CSAs, and related collateral documents. Advises front office, risk, and legal teams on applicable laws, regulations, and industry practices; provides commercially practical, risk-aware solutions; collaborates with Trading, Sales, Credit, Risk, Operations, and Legal across regions; drives efficiency and governance in documentation workflows; monitors complex issues and regulatory developments; and upholds high ethical standards. Requires 10+ years in financial services, JD/JD-equivalent, bar license, and proven ability to negotiate complex derivatives arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience in financial services
- Experience negotiating ISDA Master Agreements and Futures/Clearing contracts
- Bar license in good standing to practice law
