Job Summary
Prepare and present hot and cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events while assisting in kitchen supervision and staff training. Create menus, place vendor orders, and manage inventory by rotating, labeling, and dating stock. Maintain high sanitation standards, complete HACCP documents, and record refrigeration temperatures. Work with nutrition services staff to meet patient needs, attend staff meetings, and model a just culture. Must be HIPAA compliant.
Required Qualifications
- Four or more years of related work experience
- Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
- Must be HIPAA compliant
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- A hospital setting cook experience preferred
