Job Summary
Lead Cook responsible for producing top quality hot and cold foods, designing and presenting innovative displays, supervising line cooks and prep staff, ensuring HACCP compliance and food safety, training team members, and coordinating with the GM to maintain Air Culinaire standards and cost controls. Responsibilities include preparing menu items per Air Culinaire methods, monitoring food quality and presentation, and contributing to continual improvement of culinary quality and customer satisfaction. Must be able to lead a team, work in a fast-paced catering/kitchen environment, and handle weekends/holidays. Skills include strong culinary knowledge, team leadership, attention to detail in food safety, plating aesthetics, and ability to follow and enforce company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- A High School diploma or its equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of experience in a kitchen environment within a catering or fine dining establishment.
- Current Servsafe Food Handling Certificate required at hire or within 45-days of hire.
- Demonstrated ability to take orders and follow through as well as direct and work well with others in a team-driven, fast-paced environment is essential.
