Job Summary
Lead Cook responsible for leading meal preparations in a correctional kitchen; duties include food preparation, baking, cooking, and clean-up; lead, instruct, and assist with meal preparations following company recipes; maintain a structured environment; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; eligible for weekend and holiday shifts on a rotating basis; shifts between 9:00am and 6:00pm; facility clearance required; high school diploma or equivalent required; prior food service/kitchen experience preferred but training may be provided; full-time position for a role in the Muskegon County Jail (structure and responsibilities emphasize leadership in food preparation and adherence to recipes).
Required Qualifications
