Job Summary
Oversee daily kitchen operations by supervising 1-2 line cooks and dishwashers, ensuring food quality, safety, and sanitation compliance. Manage weekly schedules, handle time-off requests, and assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new culinary staff. Execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and restaurant menu items while placing food orders, monitoring inventory, and controlling labor and food costs. Collaborate with the General Manager on sales and marketing initiatives, promotions, and guest engagement. Requires open availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and BEOs; entry-level supervisory experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Prior cooking experience
- Supervisory or shift-lead experience
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, safety, and sanitation practices
- Ability to train and mentor staff in both technical skills and service culture
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and BEO events
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Consistent, reliable attendance
- Attendance at all required training sessions, meetings, and events
