Job Summary
Schedule and assign daily work activities to staff while supervising task completion. Train employees on job duties, food safety, and sanitation procedures. Cook and prepare food using standardized recipes and production guidelines. Set up workstations with ingredients and equipment, then measure, chop, trim, and peel food items. Safely operate equipment including knives, grills, fryers, ovens, and slicers to bake, roast, broil, steam, and portion meals. Properly store food, clean and sanitize work areas, and maintain excellent customer service. Follow Aramark safety policies and ensure security of company assets. Produce work schedules and prepare production records.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or related role
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Food safety certification
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
- This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervisor experience in a related role preferred
