Job Summary
Lead Cook at Roaring River State Park Café: Support the Cafe Manager by ensuring compliance with the menu (unchangeable without corporate F&B approval) and guest service standards; contribute to a motivated culinary team with a positive attitude; train kitchen staff in cooking techniques, adhere to company recipes, and observe sanitation guidelines to deliver exceptional guest experiences; assist with receiving, stocking, rotating orders, and inventory oversight for grab-and-go/deli items; assist with waste management, cleanliness of common areas, and adherence to policies; ensure compliance with operational standards, laws, and regulations; complete required food and safety logs; cook and prepare meals; collaborate with the team to maintain efficiency; provide timely, courteous service to guests; follow all health and safety standards and policies; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in culinary environments
- 3 years culinary experience
- ServSafe Certification required
- Proficiency with cutting tools, cookware, bakeware
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to follow sanitation procedures
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- POS system familiarity
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18+ years old
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of food preparation and storage
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Customer service oriented
